For many years The Lion has a past history of being a Biker friendly / Rock pub serving up a mixture of quality ales and superb Live music.
This was thrown into jeopardy in 2005 when the previous manager left raising fears that the venue was to be turned into a ‘trendy’ style pub
At this point the current management team of Julie and H took hold of the reins, and through a mixture of blood, sweat, and tears have once again returned the venue back to its original status of being one of the best live music venues around. After a recent refurbishment an in house PA system has been installed accompanied by a stage lighting rig.
The Lion hosts what has become one of the best annual local festivals - Lionfest. Held outdoors in the car park at the rear of the pub, Lionfest provides an all day feast of live bands. Check out the pictures on our Lionfest page
